Add Coupons via Admin Panel In Megento

Start with logging into admin panel and navigate to Promotions > Shopping Cart Promotional Rules. Here you see all price rules for shopping cart promotion. Simply click on “Add New Rule button” present on the right-hand side. Now a new webpage namely New Rule will be displayed that will allow you to add a new rule.

Field details of New Rule Webpage

1. Rule Name: Name to identify and describe the rule. 
2. Description: Details that will specific to its purpose 
3. Status: Active/Inactive to apply/not apply. 
4. Customer Groups: Choose General and Not Logged in to cover visitors and registered users visiting front-end. 
5. Coupon: Select particular coupon from the drop down and add your unique coupon code in the field below it. In order to limit coupon usage to registered users you can simply set Uses per Coupon and Uses per Customer. 
6. From Date/To Date: Select specific time period that applies to your rule. 
7. Priority: Choose priority in case multiple rules are applicable.
